Life on the Island

The house has had a lot of exciting fun times together over these three months. Last weekend we all went out to a restaurant called Tanaka Tokyo in Waikiki. It's one of those Japanese places where they cook the food in front of you on the grill and do a bunch of tricks and stuff. It was really good and a ton of food. Shelly noticed one of the tables had tiny toy cows on it and she asked our chef why they got them and we didn't. The chef asked Shelly if she wanted to speak to the manager who we had met earlier and Shelly (thinking the guy was joking) said "Yes absolutely"!!  So the manager showed up at our table and we were all dying out laughing including Shelly who was a little embarrassed. Shelly went ahead and asked about the cows and we found out it was a part of a celebration package the restaurant offered. Shelly couldn't help but be funny and ask the guy "Who on earth is your promotions manager?!?" because you have to admit tiny stress ball cows at a Japanese grill is pretty random. The manager was a really cool guy and actually waited for us outside the restaurant and gave us all cows even though we didn't pay for the celebration package. Just another fun filled random night with some of the coolest people on earth.

Kaycie bought a ton of Hawaiian fruit from North Shore so we decided to make pretty drinks before our night out :)

Cause nothing says Japanese grill like a tiny stress ball cow!!
