First Hike Adventure

This past Saturday my cove gang, Erin, Abby, and I decided to go on a hike that my roommate Kaycie told us about. It is not exactly a well known hike on the island the trail is marked by posts with pink ribbons tied around them, and you have to scale one side of the mountain on this very confusing smaller trail before you even get to the pink ribbons, but we went on it anyway. The hike leads you across the mountain/volcano peaks behind Sea Life Park. We were planning on making it to this one spot on the hike where there is a big rock formation with a hole in it that you can see rabbit island (the big island in front of Sea Life Park) through. We didn't make it that far even though we hiked a good 4 hours. We decided that it was not worth it and we needed to turn back before it started getting dark. We still had fun, as always,  and got to see some amazing views. The favorite quote from the trip was when we had decided to turn back and we were a little disappointed we didn't get to where we wanted to, I said "I'm pretty sure Sam and Frodo could have made it to Mordor and back three times in the time its taken us to do this hike!" :)
The Beginning of Our Hike...can you see the trail?
